What is Indian Mindset?
Indian Mindset is a planned public platform to explore how people in India think, what they value, where viewpoints differ, and what they share through thoughtful questions and evidence-based research.
Is there really a single "typical" Indian mindset?
No. We explicitly reject the idea of a single monolithic psychology. Instead, we study recurring social tendencies, family-first collectivism, and pragmatic adaptations (like jugaad and referral networks) that emerge from economic structures and kinship security. We treat these as tendencies rather than universal rules. Learn more in The Indian Mindset thesis.
How does Indian Mindset avoid stereotyping?
By treating context as more predictive than nationality. We analyze findings through generational cohorts (Gen Z vs. elders), urban/rural differences, education tiers, and regional histories, and we never assign personality diagnoses or permanent labels to individuals.
Is the research experience open now?
No. This website introduces the platform. The research and mobile experiences are not currently open for participation. The example figures and charts on this website are illustrative design examples, not research findings.
Will Indian Mindset ever be used for commercial advertising?
No. Indian Mindset is being developed as an independent, public-interest research platform. We do not intend to use advertising, sell personal information, or allow commercial interests to dictate our findings. Public insights are intended to remain freely accessible. Any future funding, academic grants, or institutional research partnerships must preserve our independence, protect participant privacy, and leave research conclusions strictly free from sponsor control.
What does this website collect?
The website has no accounts, survey forms, active analytics, or advertising features. An optional Google Analytics tag is prepared but disabled until configured and enabled with visitor consent. The host may process technical request logs. Google Fonts receives a browser request to provide fonts. If you email Indian Mindset, your email address and message are used to respond. See the Privacy Policy.
How will participant answers be handled?
Before the future research service collects answers, participants will receive a separate privacy notice and a clear consent choice explaining what is collected, why, for how long, and how it may be shared. The service will provide ways to withdraw consent and make data requests.
Can researchers see a person's individual answers or beliefs?
No. The platform's stated design is to provide partner institutions and researchers with strictly aggregated, anonymized outputs, not identifiable participant records or private individual belief profiles. Public results will include context and safeguards to reduce the risk of identifying people in small groups.
How do I ask a privacy or support question?
